Hide That Remote: Apartment Therapy

According to Apartment Therapy:

Advances in technology are making excessive wires and cables slowly go the way of the buffalo but, the remote? It looks like we may be stuck with that one for a while. So if you can’t beat it, hide it! (Along with those goofy 3D glasses that seem to come along with every new TV.)

Have you checked out our pretty little boxes?  They’re perfect for remote storage!

The Best Nesting Tables: Apartment Therapy

According to Apartment Therapy:

When you’re living in cramped quarters, having more than one side table can make the room feel crowded. That’s where nesting tables come in handy. When they’re not in use, they nest together in a neat little space saving package. Then, when you’re entertaining, the tables can be spread about for maximum drink placing, appetizer plate sitting usage.

Check out the Go Home line of nesting tables below…

Michael Wolf’s Architecture of Density: Apartment Therapy

Density

According to Apartment Therapy:

I don’t know the story behind the buildings in Michael Wolf’s series The Architecture of Density, only that they are part of “Hong Kong’s highly compressed, often brutal architecture”, and I would never want to cast aspersions on the people that live there. I’m just trying to imagine what it would be like…

Google Decorate: Apartment Therapy

Google Decorate

One more use for Google…above and beyond everything else in life!

From Apartment Therapy:

That’s right: your new favorite source for design inspiration is Google Images. If you’re internet savvy, you might already know that you can drag an image into the search box on Google Images to find its original source. But using a little feature called ‘visually similar images,’ you can do so much more than that…

All you have to do is open Google Images in a new window, and then drag the photo above from this window into the search box. (If you’re not using Chrome, you may have to right-click on the image, save it to your computer, and then use the camera icon on the right side of the search box on Google Images to upload the picture.)

Will Google ever cease to amaze?

A Stark Contrast in a Modern Classic Home: Susan Glick Interiors

2013 Jane Beiles WEB-6110

According to Susan Glick Interiors:

The thought behind using these Antique “Brick” Mirrors here was that they worked beautifully in a modern classic home and created a stark contrast to the ebonized consoles and black and white marble floor in the entry hall. They are truly an updated design on a classic mirror and that reflects the interior design and architecture within this home.

This project is a collaboration between Susan Glick Interiors and Tiffany Eastman Interiors, both located in Fairfield County, CT. They both share a modern classic approach to interior design, as reflected in the use of the GO Home mirrors.

Susan’s target customers are homeowners with a clean and updated sense of aesthetics with a nod to modern classicism.

For more, please contact Susan at susan@susanglickinteriors.com or by phone (203) 984-4112 or visit her online at www.susanglickinteriors.com.

On Trend: Captivating Lighting

Houzz contributor Mari Richards has pulled together some great lighting…she says:

Sometimes a lamp needs to be more than just a lamp. Paging through your average catalog or browsing a home store tends to yield the same results: average table lamp, floor lamp or ceiling fixture. But designers have taken notice and are providing us with ever-widening options for light sources. By mixing up scale, placement, balance, material or color, these new lighting options will add something fresh to your interior.
